The Kenzo Mens Spring/Summer Collection 2017 is heavily inspired by ‘night life’ fashion, embodying disco culture with creativity and refreshing new concepts that advocate freedom and a sense of self. The entire collection is based on the idea of eradication, and being entirely unrestrained.
The menswear in the collection is loose-fitting, with youthful and casual-smart elements. Shorts, sleeveless tops, sweatpants, zip-collar shirts and loose blouses are the hot items in this collection.
“Crazy” is of the essence here in the latest Kenzo collection. The unrestrained cutting of the loose singlet coupled with shorts, a denim shirt with double, slanted utility pockets tucked into cropped jeans and the long white parka not only softened the gaudy disco outfits, but also saw Kenzo justifying for its creative layering.
The designs in the collection feature elements from the 90’s disco culture, from high-waisted trousers, bell-bottoms tailored for today’s fashion and round-necked tops are vintage reinventions. The male models strutting out on the runway with colorful prints, shades and headscarves is a walk down memory lane as it brings us back through the good old disco times in the 90’s.
The brand plays with textures such as wool, nylon and leather this season; coloring the collection with bright colors and detailed prints, the spring collection is all about its visual and cutting-edge vintage style.
