Like wood, stone can be marked by highly decorative motifs and textures. Not surprisingly then, designers and design houses are producing more and more stone pieces, or pieces featuring materials that have a stone-like aspect.
Muller Van Severen has created several sets of circular objects that may be used as trays. Each set is composed of three polyethylene and two marble disks.

The panel on this candle holder is not stone, but an antique mirror decorated with powder.

The “Eight over Eight” table lamp combines an octagonal base with an octagonal shade — thus the name. The simplicity of its design is inspired by the Bauhaus style and the columns of classical architecture.

The tables in Pulpo’s “Font Round” collection are made of “glass ceramic,” a recovered waste material from industrial glass production.

The range features vases in crystal and other materials, such as pink onyx and marble.
