Creative director for Lacoste, Felipe Oliveira Baptista, is collaborating with photographer and artist Jean-Paul Goude to revamp the Lacoste crocodile motif for the brand’s limited edition 2016 holiday collection.
The Lacoste crocodile is receiving a creative face-lift from Jean-Paul Goude as the artist reinterprets elements drawn from his childhood in Africa, his love for dance and his passion for the Bauhaus style, producing two different styles of the crocodile motif, one of which is embroidered on men and women Polo-T’s, with the motif boasting a bright, cartoon-like, youthful appearance.
Jean-Paul Goude’s impressive work is not only seen in the collection, which features a variety of Polo tees, jackets, sling bags and clutches, but is also manifested on the brand’s Christmas advertisement and bags. The Polo tees come in teal, bright red, navy blue, grey and white. The classic Polo-T embossed with the animated crocodile motif is sure to defy expectations and add on a bit of fun for this holiday season.
